How to send a Team Sharing invite

Important for Admins: If invites are not sending/being received via text message by the intended recipient, as a workaround, please have them download Index and accept the invite from within the app (instructions). 

In order to start sharing your number, as the Admin, you will need to send an invite to all members so they can join the team successfully.

Important:

• Only Team Admins are authorized to send invites; members cannot. 
  • Admin is the member who set up the account first. 
• The person sending the invite can only send it to those who do not currently have an account.
  • If they have an account, the member will receive an "Existing account found" error and will need to close their current account and cancel the subscription.
• Landlines cannot be invited to join a Team Sharing account (their invite will be stuck as pending, and will have to be removed)

Sending an Invitation

Have the Team Admin (person who set up the account):

1. View Index Settings.
2. Tap Team Sharing (click continue if you haven't set up Team Sharing yet).
3. Tap the + sign to invite a member. 
4. Select the contact (or enter the cell number) you wish to send the invite to.
5. A pop-up "Invite to Team" will display, tap Tap "Invite" (or cancel if this was done in error). 
6. The Contact will then display in the list as a "pending" invite.

Next Steps:

Have the person you invited accept the invite. The recipient of the invite will stay in "pending" until they can successfully accept the invite.

Note: If you try to add a 6th member to the team (this includes any pending invites), you'll receive a "You've reached the Limit" error message (there is a max of 5 members that can be added to a team).
