Are you an Index user who's having trouble accessing the Contact Panel after ending a phone call with a client? If so, please read the information outlined in this article in an attempt to resolve your Contact Panel issue.
Tip for Android users: Access the Contact Panel at any time from the conversation, then tap the to pull up the notes and tags section.
Issue Symptoms
Did you recently end a phone call and the Contact Panel did not automatically display?
Conditions
- Contact Panel is 'enabled' in Index Settings (Settings > Contact Panel > Tap to enable).
- Incoming call duration is greater than 60 seconds.
- Outgoing call duration is greater than 1 second.
- The number is not an unknown or blocked number.
Cause & Resolution
Potential Reasons:
- You haven't met the "Contact Panel Triggered" conditions (seen above).
- Your Index app was backgrounded (not open): This could cause the Contact Panel to not populate until you:
- Tap the Index notification from the lock screen.
- Once you tap the notification, the app will open and the Contact Panel should populate.
- You currently have the Contact Panel Setting disabled in Settings.
- Check your Index Settings, under Calling, and ensure Contact Panel is enabled.

Note: Notification Permission is required to receive Index notifications.
