At some point, you may need to disconnect a calendar that you originally connected to the Appointments feature (if you need to connect a new one, for example). If this is the case, please follow the steps below on how to remove the calendar that is currently synced.
Important:
- You can only have one calendar connected to Index and the Appointments feature at a time.
- You cannot disconnect a calendar via Index Settings. To remove a:
- Google Calendar (follow the steps below or Contact Support)
- Outlook Calendar or iCloud calendar (Contact Support)
- If you're having trouble removing a calendar, please contact support and we can disconnect it on your behalf.
Google Calendar
Index customer steps (from within Google):
- Visit https://myaccount.google.com/security.
- Tap sign in and select the google account (email) that is connected to your business calendar.
- Enter your password and tap Next (or use Face ID to sign in).
- Once signed in, under the Security tab (this should be displayed by default) scroll to locate "Third-party apps with account access"
- Index should be displayed and states "Has access to Google Calendar."
- Tap Index to manage access, then select the box labeled "Delete all connections you have with Index" to disconnect your Google calendar from the Index Appointments feature.
Now that your Google calendar has been disconnected, you can follow the setup steps (via Index Settings > Appointments) to connect a new calendar.
Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Next Steps:
- Contact Index Support.
- Provide your Index Number AND email linked to the Microsoft Outlook calendar in your request.
From there, we will disconnect the calendar for you. Once we've removed the calendar, we recommend force closing and reopening Index so the change can be reflected in the app.
Now that your Outlook calendar has been disconnected, you can follow the setup steps (via Index Settings > Appointments) to connect a new (non-Outlook) calendar.
Apple iCloud Calendar
At this time, there is no functionality to disconnect your iCloud calendar manually or through Settings. However, the Index Support Team can remove an Apple iCloud calendar on your behalf.
Next Steps:
- Contact Index Support.
- Provide your Index Number AND email linked to the iCloud calendar in your request.
From there, we will disconnect the calendar for you. Once we've removed the calendar, we recommend force closing and reopening Index so the change can be reflected in the app.
