A Guide to Porting your Number

Do you have a special number or business line that you'd like to use as your second number? If so, you can easily port that number to use as your Index number. Please use this guide as a reference for how to port your number into the Index.

Before porting a number into Index, you'll need to do the following:

1. Create an Index account.
2. Choose a temporary phone number for your account.

After the above steps have been completed, you can proceed to port your number in by navigating to Settings > Number Porting.

There are five basic types of information you will need to port your number to Index: 

1. Name 
2. Account Number 
3. Billing Address
4. Telephone Number 
5. PIN 

Important:

• To obtain the information needed to port, please log into your Carrier account or contact their support department.
• In order to port your number to Index you'll need to sign up for or have an existing Index account.
