How to create & send a Broadcast message
Step 1: Create a new Broadcast List
- View your Index inbox.
- Tap the compose message icon.
-
Tap 'Broadcast' to compose a new Broadcast message.
- Tip: You can also create a new Broadcast via Index Settings > Broadcast > Create New.
- The first time you go to send a Broadcast, an 'Understanding Broadcast Regulations' pop-up will be presented. You'll need to click 'Continue' if you agree to the terms in order to send Broadcast messages.
- Tap 'Create New' to begin drafting up a list of recipients (see below for steps on how to add recipients).
Step 2: Add recipients
Tags and/or contacts can be used to build your Broadcast list. You can either search for or scroll through the tags and contacts tab to select which recipients you'd like to add.
- From the recipient's screen, select which tags or contacts you want to add to the Broadcast.
- A checkmark indicates that the recipient has been added to your list successfully.
- As noted above, you must have the written consent of those recipients to send them marketing messages.
- There is a max of 24 recipients per Broadcast message. A count of the number of recipients is located at the top of the screen to help you keep track. If you exceed the limit, you will receive an error
- Once you've selected your recipients for the Broadcast message, tap Next.
- From there, name the Broadvast list to help keep your Broadcast messages organized (or tap skip to name the list at a later time).
- When a name has been added, tap Save.
Note: A "tag" icon is displayed next to the tag name to differentiate between a contact and a tag (example seen below).
Step 3: Create your message & send your Broadcast
- In your newly created Broadcast, type a message into the text field.
- You can also select a Template(s) to add to your Broadcast message if you desire.
- When you are satisfied with your message, tap the send arrow to send your Broadcast.
Note: Sent Broadcasts will be displayed in the inbox with a microphone icon and 'Broadcast' will be displayed in the conversation line.
To View your Receipeints:
- Pull up your list of current Broadcasts (Settings, tap Broadcast).
- Select the Broadcast you want to view.
- Tap the three dots (top-right), then tap View Recipeints.
