Index Web Login Page: https://app.getindex.com/login
Index Web users now have the opportunity to create and manage Index contacts via Web. We've added a Contacts tab (next to the Inbox tab) to help keep your contact details up-to-date and organized.
Sync Legacy Contact Names
If you notice that your contact details have not been updated on mobile or Web (if you made edits, changed the contact name, etc) you can sync those changes via Web Settings.
Here's how:
- View Index Web Settings.
- Under the Options section, select the button.
- On the pop-up, select "Sync Contacts"
- When the sync is complete, click "OK" to exit the window.
Your contacts will now be updated to reflect the most up-to-date information both on Index mobile and Web.
FYI: The above process only has to be completed once. Any updates thereafter will continue to sync automatically any time you make changes to your contact details.
Contact Overview Tab
While logged into Index Web, select the Contacts tab (located to the right of the Inbox tab). You will see the following columns in the Contacts overview tab:
- Name
- Phone
- Tags
- Notes - hover over to display full notes
This gives a basic view of your Index address book & includes some of the details you have saved for each contact. From there, you can click on an individual contact to pull up the Contact Details screen which will allow you to view, add, or edit contact info.
Tip: Use the search bar to filter contacts by name, tag, or phone number.
Contact Details Screen
There are additional details you can add to a contact from this screen that isn't displayed (nor editable) from the contacts overview tab. Here's what is available:
- Phone (can add an additional phone number)
- Email (can add an additional email)
- Company
- URL (i.e. business website/link)
- Address
- Notes (where you store details for a customer)
Note: You can add labels (optional) to the contact details above. Options - Mobile, Home, Work, or Other.
If you hover over certain details in the Contact Details Screen, you can:
- Edit a contact (pencil icon)
- Favorite a contact (start icon)
- Start a conversation (message bubble icon)
- Delete (trash can icon)
