How subscriptions work
When you purchase a subscription through our app, the transaction is handled directly by the official app store for your device (Apple App Store for iPhone users or Google Play Store for Android users).
Billing: Charges are applied to the payment method linked to your Apple ID or Google Account.
Management: Because we do not store your credit card details on our servers, you can view your subscription details, update payment information, and see your full purchase history directly within your device settings.
How to check your cost, renewal date, and receipts
Need to know when your next payment is due or how much you’re being charged? You can find this information in just a few taps:
For iOS Users (Apple):
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your Name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select our app to view the price and the upcoming renewal date.
Note: Apple also sends an itemized receipt to your registered email address after every successful charge.
For Android Users (Google):
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap your Profile Icon at the top right.
Tap Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Select our app to see billing cycles and costs.
How do I change my payment method?
By default, the same payment method you used to purchase the subscription will be charged for renewals. If you need to update your card on file or add a new payment method, you must do so through your device settings.
For step-by-step instructions on updating your billing info for both Android and iOS, please refer to our detailed guide: How do I update my payment method?
My subscription didn't renew! What do I do?
We're sorry to hear this. There may have been an error with the App Store processing your payment which could have happened as a result of an expired card, insufficient funds, or it was canceled before the next billing period. You will need to subscribe again to continue using Index.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you no longer wish to continue your subscription, you must cancel it through the App Store or Google Play Store. Please note that uninstalling the app does not automatically stop your subscription.
To avoid being charged for the next cycle, ensure you cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. For a full walkthrough on how to unsubscribe from your specific device, see: How do I cancel my subscription?
Do you offer other ways to pay (like PayPal or Direct Credit Card)?
Currently, we only support subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not offer alternative billing methods or direct invoicing at this time. However, both Apple and Google support a number of different payment methods.
Apple: Payment methods that you can use with your Apple Account
Google: Accepted payment methods on Google Play
How do I move my subscription to a new app store account?
If you are moving from an iPhone to an Android, or switching to a different Apple ID or Google Play account, your subscription will not transfer automatically. To ensure your billing is moved correctly to your new account: Switching your subscription to a new app store account
