Call Forwarding offers Index iOS users the ability to automatically forward missed calls on their cell line to the Index app. It does NOT allow you to forward calls outside of Index to another line.

What is Call Forwarding?
Index utilizes an industry-wide term called "Conditional Call Forwarding" which sends your incoming cellphone calls to another phone line in situations where you are away from your phone, can't pick up at the moment when you are on another call, or when you don't have service.
Benefits
We've tailored Call Forwarding for business owners who use their mobile number as their main business line and therefore do not require a second number for business calls.
Here are a few benefits of Call Forwarding paired with Index:
- Ability to forward business calls and calls from prospective customers to Index.
- When enabled with Auto Reply to Calls, call forwarding turns missed calls into a business opportunity by increasing the likelihood of a 2-way conversation.
- Can be used with your Index number.
Note: Index calls CANNOT be forwarded outside of the app and to a separate line. Call forwarding only works to forward cellphone calls INTO Index.
How it works
Index User
With conditional call forwarding, your cell number will ring (standard is 4-6 rings depending on your Carrier), giving you time to pick up the call. If you don't pick up, the call will immediately forward to your Index line, where the caller can leave a voicemail on your Index number.
Note: The Index line will not ring, only your device's number will ring.
Caller
The person calling you dials your cell number. If you don't pick up the call (or decline the call), the caller will reach your Index voicemail and have the ability to leave a message.
Tip: Enable Auto-Reply for Index to send an automated text response letting them know your business hours, or that you will return their call shortly.
Supported Carriers
While we hope to support more Carriers in the future, we only support the following carriers for use with call forwarding at this time:
- AT&T
- Verizon
- T-Mobile
