Clearing cache, whether it be on your phone or browser is an important step in improving the functionality of your Index app & is often an effective troubleshooting step when you are experiencing performance issues on Web or mobile (Android or iPhone.)
If you are experiencing any of the following issues while using Index on:
Mobile:
- Missed calls/phone not ringing with incoming calls.
- Calls going straight to voicemail.
- Performance issues - Crashing, freezing, slowness/delay, and/or spinning wheel (usually seen when attempting to login).
Index Web:
- Unable to log in to Index Web via the Web browser.
- A blank screen/Index Web not loading.
- Performance issues - Crashing, freezing, slowness/delay, and/or spinning wheel (usually seen when attempting to login).
Troubleshooting step: Clearing cache, cookies, and data should help to resolve one or more of the issues stated above and is a good step to take for routine maintenance when using Index on mobile or Web.
Mobile Browser (Android)
Clearing Index app cache & data:
- Open your General device Settings.
- Navigate down to Apps (it may be renamed 'Applications or 'Application Manager' or Apps & Notifications)
- Locate the Index app > click to open.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache.

Note: Steps seen above may vary per Android device and your preferred browser. Please contact your phone's manufacturer for instructions if you need specific instructions on clearing cache.
Mobile Browser (iPhone)
Instructions on how to clear cache & cookies on your iPhone for your preferred mobile Browser:
Desktop Browser
Tip: To minimize disruptions to your workflow & browser setup, you can clear cookies just for Index Web (and not all cache and cookies).
Here's how:
- Visit Index Web.
- In the browser bar, click the lock icon to the left of the URL.
- From the list, select
- Select "app.getindex.com"
- Click
- Click
- Click to refresh the web browser & try logging into/using Index Web again.
On the contrary, if you want to clear all browser cache and cookies, please choose your Browser below for instructions:
Once you clear your browser's cache and cookies, reload your browser by completely shutting it down & reopening it. Then try logging into/using Index Web to see if the issue is resolved.
