How do I verify my account?

To create an account or use the Index app, we require verification through Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure account security and prevent unauthorized access. This is a standard industry practice. 

Important: Support will be unable to provide any account information/password reset info for accounts with unverified email addresses. If you need to complete email verification, please see How do I update my email address?.

FYI:  Index does NOT require identity verification via a government ID.

New Accounts 

Verifying your account is a required step in the registration process. You must verify your mobile number before you can create an account. Follow the platform-specific steps seen in this article: How do I create an account?

Current accounts at login

You will occasionally be prompted to verify your account (via your registered mobile number) when logging into the mobile app or Index Web. Follow the platform-specific steps for "Log In" seen here: Log in/Log out of Index
