How do I create an account?

Important: During sign up, you'll be asked to register your business details in order to get approved to use the app (more info on why this is required). You may use Index while your registration is being processed; however, if rejected, you will need to contact us to help you resubmit your business for approval.  

Interested in signing up for an Index account? If so, follow the step-by-step instructions below. 

Step 1: Create an account and choose your subscription

1. Download Index from your app store. (Check the minimum device requirements to download and use Index HERE) 
   • Download for iOS 
   • Download for Android
   • Note: You'll need to download the app from the app store to ensure you're on the more recent version. If not, you'll receive an error. 
2. On the welcome page, click Create New Account. 
3. On the next screen, select the features that you plan to use with Index. 
4. Tap Continue.
5. Enter the following BUSINESS information on the Create an Account screen: 
   1. First Name
   2. Last Name
   3. Email
   4. Business Name
   5. Mobile Number
   6. Create Password (ensure your password meets the requirements seen here or you will be unable to proceed) 
6. When complete, tap Continue.
7. On the Verify your number screen, enter the 4-digit code we just texted you. 
8. After that, select the subscription plan (monthly or yearly) and click "Start Free Trial." 
9. Confirm your free Index trial by tapping Continue.
   • Note: iOS Subscribers will receive a 1-month free trial. 
10. Enter your app store info to log in and confirm your subscription. 

Step 2: Confirm your Index number and allow permissions

After you've completed step 1, you will see a "Welcome" pop-up screen with your mobile number.

You can confirm that you'd like to use your cell number as your Index number or you can choose a new number to use for Index.

1. If you'd like to use your mobile number as your Index number, select Great. 
2. If you'd like to choose a NEW number to use as your Index number, select Change Number. 
3. After you've confirmed your number or chosen a new one, you will need to allow the following permissions: 
   1. Push Notifications 
   2. Contacts
4. Once all permissions are allowed, you'll be sent to your new Index Inbox, and you're ready to start using Index.
