Existing Sideline Pro users: If you are a current Sideline Pro subscriber, you can use Index at no additional cost. All you have to do is log into Index using your Sideline login information, there's no need to create a new Index account. (More info)
If you don't have a Sideline Pro account and are a new customer, follow the steps below to create a new Index account.
Step 1: Create an account and choose your subscription
- Download Index from your app store.
- On the welcome page, click Create New Account.
- Note: If you have an existing Sideline Pro account, tap Log In.
- On the next screen, select the features that you plan to use with Index.
- Tap Continue.
- Enter the following information on the Create an account screen:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Business Name
- Mobile Number
- Create Password (ensure your password meets the requirements seen here or you will be unable to proceed)
- When complete, tap Continue.
- On the Verify your number screen, enter the 4-digit code we just texted you.
- After that, select the subscription plan (monthly or yearly) and click "Start 7-Day Trial."
- Confirm your free Index trial by tapping Continue.
- Enter your app store info to log in and confirm your subscription.
Step 2: Set up Busines Profile, Voicemail, and Call Forwarding
- Once you've subscribed, you will see the Business Profile info with some of the info inputted from when you created an account,
- Enter your business details, then tap Done.
- Set up your Index voicemail (required) then tap Save. (You can always upload a custom greeting after you've finished setting up your account.)
- On the "Link your mobile number with Index" screen, you will need to enable Call Forwarding at this time as this is a required setting for Index users.
- Once you've completed the above steps, follow the step-by-step guide for setting up Call Forwarding.
Note: If you don't have Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile, you will be unable to create an Index account at this time as we only support Call Forwarding for those Carriers.
Step 3: Confirm your Index number and allow permissions
After you've completed steps 1 and 2 above and successfully activated Call Forwarding, you will see a pop-up with your mobile number.
You can confirm that you'd like to use your cell number as your Index number or you can choose a new number to use for Index.
- If you'd like to use your mobile number as your Index number, select Great.
- If you'd like to choose a NEW number to use as your Index number, select Change Number.
- After you've confirmed your number or chosen a new one, you will need to allow the following permissions:
- Push Notifications
- Contacts
- Once all permissions are allowed, you'll be sent to your new Index Inbox, and you're ready to start using Index.
